Biography:
Before UMSL: Played two seasons at Jefferson Community College for Mark Redburn and Tony Cook … named Second Team All-America in 2006 … was also a two-time all-conference and all-regional selection … team was 94-32 during her two years … helped team to two conference championships, one regional championship and a ninth place finish at nationals during 2006 season … played with current UMSL players Madyson Hern and Ally DeFosset.

High School: Played at Thomas W. Kelly for coach Rhonda Ratledge … two-time all-state performer, including first-team as a senior … also earned all-conference and all-region honors … helped team to four conference titles and a state championship as a senior … also played basketball for the Hawks, earning all-conference and all-region honors.

Personal: Born April 18, 1987 … daughter of Thomas and Linda Essner … majoring in nursing.
