Women's Soccer Ends Season With 1-0 Loss in GLVC Tourney

SOMERS, WIS. – One goal was all it took for No. 10 ranked Wisconsin-Parkside to bring the season to an end for the University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s soccer team as the Tritons lost a 1-0 decision at UWP in the quarterfinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Sunday afternoon.

UMSL, seeded eighth in the tournament, end the season with a 6-11-1 record, while the top-seeded Rangers improve to 14-0-2.

Wisconsin-Parkside scored the game-winner in the 44th minute and finished the contest out-shooting the Tritons, 17-1, including 12-1 in the first half of play. Junior Anne Nesbit took the lone shot for UMSL.

The Rangers landed six shots on goal with freshman keeper Hanna Sayre recording five saves.
