Jones Announces Signing of Rankin to Volleyball Program

ST. LOUIS, MO. – University of Missouri-St. Louis first-year head volleyball coach Trent Jones has announced the signing of Kelsie Rankin (Neenah, Wis.) to a national letter of intent to join the Tritons program beginning with the 2008-09 academic year.

“Kelsie is a tremendous all-around player,” said Jones. “She is a very consistent attacker and her ball control is outstanding. When Kelsie arrives on campus in the fall, she will instantly make us a better team.”

Rankin earned second team all-state honors as a senior at Neenah High School and was a unanimous first team all-conference selection. She was named the Appleton Post-Crescent All-Area Player of the Year and was also selected as her team’s MVP, Offensive Player of the Year and Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Rankin, one of the top players to come out of Neenah High School, is the school’s career leader in kills (961), digs (1,038) and passing ratio (2.40 on a 3.0 scale). She also owns single season records for kills (606) and digs (478).

Rankin plays club volleyball for Milwaukee (Wis.) Sting.
