Women's Tennis Falters in Singles Play, Drops 6-3 Match at Quinc

QUINCY, ILL. - After winning two of three doubles matches, the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's tennis team won just one of six singles matches as the Tritons dropped a 6-3 verdict at Quincy Tuesday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

UMSL (4-11, 2-7 GLVC) won at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles with Stephanie Thompson and Andriana Garcia winning 9-7 at No. 1. Molly Striler and Sara Davidson collected an 8-5 win at No. 2.

Thompson was the lone Triton to win in singles, earning a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the No. 1 position.

UMSL returns to action Friday, hosting Rockhurst at 2 p.m.
