Women's Golf in Second Place at GLVC Championships

SCORING

MARION, ILL. – Led by Ashley Stout’s first day score of 79, the University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team is in second place after day one of the 2008 Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Golf Tournament at Kokopelli Golf Club.

Stout, who is tied for second individually, shot a 39 and 40, helping UMSL to a 341 on the 72-par, 5,863-yard course. Northern Kentucky leads the way with a 332.

Sofie Rasmussen of NKU shot a 78 to lead all golfers.

Erin Konkol is tied for fourth (40-40 80), while Leslie Fischer is tied for 20th (41-48 89). Sarah Cissell (48-45 93) and Shannon Vallowe (43-50 93) are tied for 35th place to round of the Tritons’ scoring.

The final 18 holes will be played tomorrow.
