 April 21, 2008LOCKPORT, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team earned a fourth place finish out of 10 teams at the Lewis University Aviator Classic Sunday and Monday at the Prairie Bluff Golf Club.
Shannon Vallowe shot rounds of 78 and 83 for a 161 total to finish in 13th place to help the Tritons to rounds of 328 and 331 for a final score of 659 on the 72-par, 5,864-yard course. Northern Kentucky won the team with rounds of 311 and 314 for a 625.
Ashley Stout tied for 19th place with rounds of 85 and 81 for a 166 total, while Sarah Cissell (88-79 167) tied for 22nd. Rounding out UMSL’s scoring were Erin Konkol (82-89 171) and Leslie Fischer (83-88 171) who tied for 30th.
Southern Indiana’s Jess Dooley earned medalist honors with a one over par 145.
UMSL returns to action this weekend at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament in Marion, Ill. The tournament will be played at Kokopelli Golf Club.
