September 08, 2007St. Louis, Mo. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team dominated in a 3-0 win against Drury University on Saturday, winning 30-12, 30-27, 30-22.
The Tritons cruised in the first game, recording 18 kills and had a team hitting percentage of .500 in the game to win 30-12. UMSL then had 23 kills in the second game while holding off a late run by the Panthers to win 30-27, and the team hit .389 in game three to win 30-22.
UMSL was led by Christy Trame with 19 kills in 21 attempts for a hitting percentage of .905 in the match. Trame also added a team high seven total blocks. Elizabeth Cook had 12 kills and Sarah Eisnaugle had 10 kills in the win. Heather Nichols and Joslyn Brown had 15 digs each and Cook added 13 digs.
UM-St. Louis is now 4-6 on the season and 1-1 in the GLVC. UMSL will be at home next week to host Missouri-Rolla on Tuesday at 7pm, and Central Missouri on Wednesday at 7pm. Return To Articles
