September 11, 2007St. Louis, Mo. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team dominated in a 3-0 win against the University of Missouri-Rolla on Tuesday night, winning 30-17, 30-21, 30-28.
The Tritons dominated in the first game, recording 16 kills and had a team hitting percentage of .375 in the game to win 30-17. UMSL then had 17 kills in the second game to win 30-21, and again recorded 16 kills in game three to win 30-28.
UMSL was led by Christy Trame and Chelsea Baumstark who combined for 19 kills on 34 attempts for a hitting percentage of .470 in the match. Joslyn Brown lead the Tritons with 12 of the teams 60 digs, while Heather Nichols had 8 kills and Claudia Medina added 7 kills in the win. Setters Lisa Brinker and Kayla Kinzinger combined for 41 assist in the match
UM-St. Louis is now 5-6 on the season and 2-1 in the GLVC. UMSL will be at home again on Wednesday when they face #6 Central Missouri at 7pm. Return To Articles
