March 27, 2008ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA - Junior Sarah Cissell and freshman Ashley Sout finished in a three-way tie for medalist honors as the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team defeated Lindenwood in a dual at the World Golf Hall of Fame at The Slammer & The Squire in St. Augustine, Florida, Thursday.
The Tritons shot a 342 on the 72-par, 5,897-yard course, 10 strokes better than Lindenwood's 352.
Cissell and Stout, along with Lindenwood's Claudia Rojas each fired an 83, 11 strokes over par to lead the way individually.
Senior Erin Konkol shot an 87 to finish fifth, followed by senior Shannon Vallowe, who shot an 89 to finish sixth. Sophomore Leslie Fischer rounded out UMSL's scoring with a 91 to finish seventh.
UMSL will be back in action April 4-5, hosting the 2008 Gateway Ladies Collegiate Championships at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Illinois.
