August 27, 2007Bronxville, NY– The UMSL men's soccer team completed a perfect opening weekend to the season, winning 2-1 at Concordia (NY) on Monday afternoon.
All three goals in the game came in the first half, with UMSL scoring the first two goals. Colin Huber scored his second goal in as many games to start the year, scoring in the 20th minute, and Kyle Wogtech scored his first career goal in the 25th minute for a 2-0 lead for the Tritons. Concordia got on the board in the 37th minute to end UMSL's hopes of a second straight shutout.
UMSL is 2-0 on the season and will be in action again this weekend with their home opener on Friday, August 31, when they host Lyon College at 7 pm. Return To Articles
