SPRINGFIELD, MO. – Led by Tim Cochran’s tie for eighth place, the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team earned a sixth place finish at the Pasta House/Drury Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday at the Rivercut Golf Club in Springfield, Mo.
Cochran shot rounds of 71 and 76 to finish with a 147 total on the 72-par, 7,066-yard course. As a team, the Tritons shot 297 and 300 to finish with a 597, 10 strokes behind Missouri Western, which won the team title, shooting a two-day total of 587 (281-306).
Matt Winslow finished just behind Cochran, tying for 10th with a 148 (76-72), while Ryan Penfield tied for 15th place (74-75 149). Ryan Gunn tied for 33rd place (76-77 153) and J.R. Sircusa rounded out UMSL’s scoring with a 167 (86-81) for 67th place.
Northern Kentucky’s Jeremy Martin claimed medalist honors, firing a 139 total.
