Men's Golf Earns 17th Place Finish in Regional Tournament

SOUTH HAVEN, MICH. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team earned a 17th place finish at the Great Lakes Fall Regional Tournament Sunday and Monday, held at HawksHead in South Haven, Michigan.

The Tritons fired rounds of 298 and 311 to finish with a 609 total. Indianapolis won the 21 team field with a 550 score (279-271).

Sophomore Tim Cochran led UMSL individually with a 147 score, shooting rounds of 72 and 75, to tie for 31st place.

Ryan Gunn finished in a tie for 68th place (7-76 153), while sophomore Ryan Penfield tied for 76th (72-82 154). Senior Matt Winslow placed 79th (77-78 155) and Ryan Higgins (84-83 167) placed 103rd to round out UMSL’s scoring.

The Tritons travel to Springfield, Mo., next week to compete in the Drury Invitational.
