Men's Golf Finishes in 8th Place at GLVC Championships

FINAL RESULTS

COLUMBUS, IND. – Led by Matt Thomas’ fourth-place finish, the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team finished eighth at the 2008 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships held at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana.

Thomas, who finished in a three-way tie for fourth, shot a final round of 76, bringing his three-day total to 221 – one stroke behind Indianapolis’ Justin Hueber, who won medalist honors via playoff with a 220 total.

The Tritons tallied a 309 in the final round for a 921 total. UIndy won the team title with a score of 881.

Matt Winslow finished with a 231 total to tie for 28th place, while Tim Swoboda finished tied for 37th with a 236. Tim Cochran tied for 45th (238), while Ryan Penfield was 55th (242).
