Women's Basketball Announces Signing of Prosser

ST. LOUIS, MO. – University of Missouri-St. Louis head women’s basketball coach Lisa Curliss-Taylor has announced the signing of Chelsea Prosser to a national letter of intent to join the Tritons program beginning with the 2008-09 academic year.

Prosser, a 6-2 forward, averaged 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks as a senior at Eureka (Ill.) High School. She earned second team Associated Press small school all-state honors and was a third team Illinois Basketball Coaches Association all-state selection. Prosser also earned third team all-state honors from the Champaign News-Gazette, was a first team all-Cornbelt Conference pick and received all-area honors from the Peoria Journal Star and the Bloomington Pantagraph.

“Chelsea is going to be a great addition to our post rotation,” said Curliss-Taylor. “She has great shooting range outside the post area, which will make it hard for opponents to defend her. She needs to get a little stronger over the summer, but we are looking for her to contribute to our program immediately.”
