 March 25, 2008LOUISVILLE, KY. – With junior Matt Winslow tying for 10th place individually, the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team finished tied for fourth in the team standings at the two-day Bellarmine Invitational held at the Persimmon Ridge Golf Club in Louisville, Ky.
Winslow fired a 78 and a 77 for a 155 final score, helping the Tritons to rounds of 318 and 307 for a 625 final score. Bellarmine won the team title, shooting 303 and 300 for a total of 603. Lewis (295-311 606) was second, followed by Northern Kentucky (302-306 608), Findlay (306-319 625) and UMSL, Madonna (320-320 640), St. Joseph’s (321- 330 651), DePauw (322-330 652) and UI-Springfield (349-380 729).
Freshmen Tim Cochran and Ryan Penfield tied for 15th. Both fired rounds of 81 and 75 for final scores of 156.
Junior Matt Thomas tied for 25th (78-81 159), while sophomore Tim Swoboda finished 34th (83-80 163) and junior Padraic Kerr was 44th (87-81 168).
