UMSL Sports Hall Of Fame

Following are the UMSL Athletic Honor Roll Student-Athletes for the fall 2007 semester. There were a total of 69 student-athletes who earned athletic honor roll distinction, including at least one student-athlete from each of the 11 sports. In addition to the individual honors, the UMSL Women's Tennis team had the highest GPA among the 11 UMSL sports with a team GPA of 3.348

Biography:
Inducted: 2001
Judy Berres was instrumental in building the women's athletic programs at UMSL, coaching three of the four women's teams in 1974-75. She started the women's volleyball program and guided the team to a 74-21 record over its first three seasons. Berres was also the coach of the women's field hockey team in 1974 that recorded the first ever win for an UMSL women's varsity team.
