UMSL Sports Hall Of Fame

Following are the UMSL Athletic Honor Roll Student-Athletes for the fall 2007 semester. There were a total of 69 student-athletes who earned athletic honor roll distinction, including at least one student-athlete from each of the 11 sports. In addition to the individual honors, the UMSL Women's Tennis team had the highest GPA among the 11 UMSL sports with a team GPA of 3.348

Biography:
Inducted: 2003
David Rhoads made a quick impact to the men’s golf team, earning All-American honors in his freshman season when he placed first at four tournaments during the year and finished sixth individually at the 1992 NCAA Championships. He helped lead the Rivermen to the MIAA Championship that season while earning all-conference honors. In his sophomore year, he again led the Rivermen to the NCAA tournament where the team finished 12th and Rhoads finished 22nd individually. He again led UMSL to the MIAA Championship his sophomore year and was an all-conference selection in his sophomore and junior seasons. He also earned all-district honors his junior year as well. Rhoads was just as successful in the classroom, earning Academic All-American honors in both his junior and senior seasons and was named to the Golf Association of America Division II All-American Scholars Team.
